Conflict Minerals Policy Statement
O.W.L. is a responsible manufacturer and distributor of electronics products. We support the endeavours of the international community to end human rights violations in the mining of certain minerals known as “Conflict Minerals” used in the manufacture of electronic components and products.
Conflict minerals emanate from a location described as the “Conflict Region” situated in parts of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and adjoining countries.
O.W.L. does not directly purchase any Conflict Minerals from any source and does not knowingly procure any product containing Conflict Minerals from the Conflict Region.
Whilst O.W.L. is not able to certify as to the country of origin of the minerals contained in components and materials used in manufacturing its products, we encourage those in the supply chain to increase transparency regarding the origin and traceability of minerals contained in their products.
To this end O.W.L. wherever possible use mainstream suppliers who support the principles of ending the human rights violations indicated above and have a policy not to purchase products that contain Conflict Minerals that directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in the Conflict Area.
